The Shooting Stars Premise
Reality Documentary – partly scripted
This Reality TV series will follow a renowned photographer and his tightly close nit team as they record their dream of publishing a coffee table book, of 12 leading icons in the art, Fashion and entertainment industry. The reality series season ends with the lunch of the coffee table by the spice fashion television channel.
The team is made up of the Lead Photographer, The producer, The Stylist, and The Assistant, this four characters take us through an experience journey into the world of creative photography
Shooting stars will provide the TV audience unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to A-list celebrities, and a rare glimpse of the process of creating celebrity and fashion images. The artistic process will be externalized, allowing the collaborators and the viewers to take part in the creative discussions. Unlike other reality shows where celebrities make cameo appearances, “Shooting Stars” is based on extensive footage of the celebrities and stylist/designers working together with the photographers as co-creators of their real images, which then become an important part of pop culture.
The show stages
Drama and comedy arise as the pressures mount and the artists are very passionate, interacting in surprising ways.
“The stars are on both sides of the camera… their ‘’off’’ camera relationship vis a vis their ‘’on’’ screen interactions…” they come from opposite perspectives and often disagree, and the team leader often has to serve as referee.
They work 18-hour days in high-stress environments, with difficult deadlines, stretched budgets, expensive locations and demanding talent who are their clients and require real results that will become an important part of pop culture.
